According to a ranking established by Stanford University and scientific publisher Elsevier, the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List 2025 highlights scientists whose publications had the greatest impact in their field in 2024. This ranking is based on the number of citations — that is, how often their articles were referenced in other scholarly publications.
