New Publication Highlights Potential for Adaptive Trials in EDs!

A recent article co-authored by our team members Nathalie Germain, Martyne Audet, and Patrick Archambault, along with collaborators, examines the feasibility of implementing adaptive platform trials in Canadian Emergency Departments. The study, stemming from discussions at the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians 2024 Academic Symposium, explores the potential benefits of these innovative trial designs for research in emergency settings, particularly for confirmatory studies and emerging health challenges. The authors identify both opportunities and challenges associated with their implementation and offer recommendations for moving forward.
